How It Started...
Like so many children, I grew up with an imagination full of stories. But reading itself didn’t always come easily to me. I was a slow reader and eventually found myself in a special reading class—where an exceptional teacher changed everything.
With her patience and encouragement, reading went from the subject I struggled with most to the one I loved most. Somewhere along the way, books became more than words on a page. They became a place to escape, imagine, learn, and simply be.
That feeling has stayed with me.
Rowan & Rose was created from a desire to give people of all ages a place where they can feel welcome, safe, and at peace.
A place to settle into a cozy corner, open a book, and spend hours lost in a world of their own.
Reading became something magical for me. My hope is that, somewhere within Rowan & Rose, you discover a little of that magic too.
